The artist behind the work

Theo paints cinematic, light-filled scenes that feel both timeless and deeply personal. Based in his studio in Larnaca, Cyprus, he draws on influences from Hopper, Vettriano and film noir to create paintings that tell quiet, compelling stories.

Every work begins as an original oil painting, painted here in Larnaca. Each painting is also available as a hand signed fine art print, individually signed by Theo in the studio before it leaves for its new home.

Latest painting from the studio, The Spanish Steps

Theo's latest painting, inspired by our recent trip to Rome captures a couple pausing on one of its most iconic landmarks,The Spanish Steps. Despite the name, the Steps are entirely Roman, built in 1725 to connect the Spanish Embassy with the church of Trinità dei Monti above, the name simply stuck.

Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck made them immortal inRoman Holiday, but Theo makes a deliberate choice here: the couple are not the main characters. Instead, the sweeping geometry of the steps — their curves, their rhythm, the way light moves across each tier — become the true protagonist.
